4. Payment Transactions

5. Fees
Fees for using SMART-EPAY are either charged to the merchant or incorporated into the transaction value. Details are provided during onboarding or at checkout.
6. Refunds
Refunds, if applicable, are handled according to our Refund Policy (see below). As we do not hold funds directly, we facilitate refunds via our partner processors.

8. Limitation of Liability

- Any loss resulting from your use of the Service.

Refund Policy
At SMART-EPAY, we aim to facilitate smooth and transparent transactions for both merchants and customers. As a third-party payment facilitator, we do not handle funds directly. Refunds are issued in accordance with the policies of the merchant and the processing banks (e.g., Stripe, Ryft).
1. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are subject to the following conditions:
- The merchant has approved the refund.
- The original transaction has been completed and settled.
- The request is made within the merchant's refund window.
2. How Refunds Are Processed
Once a refund is initiated by the merchant:
- We will process the refund via the respective payment processor.
- The timeframe for the refund to appear in your account may vary (typically 5–10 business days).
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
3. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds may not be processed in cases where:
- The product/service was delivered as agreed.
- The refund request violates the merchant's terms.
- Fraudulent or abusive refund behavior is suspected.
